The number of fatalities due to the snowstorm in the USA has exceeded 70 people

According to the National Weather Service, the snowstorm covered two-thirds of the country's territory over the weekend and continued into Monday. The severe weather affected about 200 million people, and the cold cyclone, moving eastward, continues to bring low temperatures. Meteorologists warned of a possible prolonged cold snap not seen in several decades.

The winter storm named "Fern" hit the USA on January 23, causing snowdrifts of up to 30 centimeters. The situation was exacerbated by freezing temperatures and the formation of ice, which led to damage to power lines and left 700,000 people without electricity.
