Additionally, railway companies have reduced or temporarily suspended train services on several routes. Authorities strongly recommend that citizens avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.

Experts believe that the storm represents an unusual combination of arctic cold air, heavy precipitation, and sharp temperature fluctuations. These conditions create an increased risk of traffic accidents, frostbite, and failures in utility systems.
Forecasters warn that nighttime temperatures in some areas may drop significantly below zero.
According to the National Weather Service, the storm's impact is expected to weaken in the coming days; however, difficult weather conditions may persist longer than usual in the northeastern states.
