The Mongolian Immigration Agency reports that inspections conducted in January 2026 resulted in the deportation of 78 foreign citizens from 12 countries, each of whom is banned from re-entering Mongolia for a period of 3 to 5 years. The distribution by nationality is as follows: 53 from China, 11 from Russia, 3 from Uzbekistan, 2 from Vietnam, 2 from Kyrgyzstan, and 7 from other countries.
The deportations were carried out for various reasons, including exceeding the validity of visas or residence permits, working without the necessary permits, involvement in prohibited activities, as well as cases where foreigners had been convicted and served their sentences.
The agency noted that in the previous year, 1,222 foreign citizens were deported, which is an increase of 41.4% compared to the previous year.

Extradition: As a result of cooperation with the Investigative Department of the Criminal Police Service, a Chinese citizen (M.Y.) wanted for fraud was handed over to Chinese authorities after his residence permit in Mongolia was revoked.
