Solar Region 4366 breaks the 21st-century record for the number of flares

According to the Laboratory, region 4366 has set a new record for the number of strong flares, recording three M-class flares. This means that the total number of registered flares in this region has now reached 66. An update from NOAA's catalog has confirmed this data.

Previously, the record was held by region 3664, which recorded 64 flares of M-class and above, and was responsible for the largest magnetic storm in the last 20 years.
