The German-British company Hypersonica, operating in the field of aerospace technologies, announced the successful testing of its first prototype hypersonic missile HS1. The missile was launched on February 3 from the Annoy spaceport located in northern Norway.
According to TASS, the missile was able to reach a speed of 6 Mach, which corresponds to over 7400 km/h, and covered a distance of about 300 km. The company plans to begin serial production of the HS1 by 2029. The length of the missile is several meters, and its weight exceeds 1 ton, however, details about its technical specifications have not yet been disclosed.
Hypersonica was founded in 2023, and its headquarters is located in Munich, while the office of its subsidiary is in London.
