Starting from March 1 of this year, the cost of a tourist entry visa to Egypt will increase from $25 to $30. This was reported by the local publication Cairo 24.
This change will affect tourists arriving in the country through the international airports of Cairo and Hurghada. Those vacationing in Sharm El Sheikh can still obtain a free 15-day "Sinai stamp," but a visa will be required to travel outside this region.
Previously, there was discussion about raising the fee to $45, but the Egyptian authorities decided to abandon this idea.
Egypt remains one of the most sought-after tourist destinations for travelers from the CIS countries, including Kyrgyzstan.
