The accident occurred around 4:00 PM on the 451st kilometer of the R-239 "Kazan - Orenburg" highway, near the border with Kazakhstan. According to preliminary data, there was a collision between a Toyota and a Mazda.
There were five citizens of Tajikistan in the Toyota, while the driver of the Mazda was a local resident who unfortunately died at the scene. Three passengers in the Toyota sustained fatal injuries and died before the ambulance arrived.
Two other victims, young men born in 1999 and 2006, were urgently hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Abdullin Interdistrict Hospital with diagnoses of traumatic brain injuries, as well as fractures of the limbs and pelvis, and traumatic shock.
The prosecutor of the Orenburg region, Ruslan Medvedev, has instructed to conduct an investigation into this incident. Currently, a preliminary investigation is underway to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident. Investigative actions are ongoing.
