On February 24, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Amartuvshin Gombosuren, held meetings in the Republic of Korea with Jin Seon-jun, a member of the National Assembly and chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group between the two countries, as well as with Jeong Dong-yeon, the Minister of Unification of the Republic of Korea.
The meetings discussed issues related to bilateral relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Korea.
The participants emphasized the importance of interaction between legislative bodies to further strengthen Mongolian-South Korean ties. They also reaffirmed their commitment to regular high-level mutual visits, which will contribute to strengthening friendship between the peoples and expanding cooperation in all areas.
Representatives of South Korea noted that Mongolia plays a key role in security issues in Northeast Asia and expressed readiness to support multilateral negotiations in this area.
The parties agreed that to achieve peace and stability in the region, it is necessary to actively engage multilateral negotiation platforms and ensure the participation of all involved parties in the dialogue.
