According to the agency, the greatest threat is expected on the highway from Dushanbe to Chanak, especially in the sections from 48 to 74 km and from 78 to 81 km, where there is a high probability of avalanche formation in the Varzob district.
In addition, avalanches may also pose a threat in mountainous areas under the jurisdiction of the republican authorities, as well as in the western part of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
Drivers are strongly advised to avoid traveling on mountain roads, exercise caution, and check road conditions in advance before setting out.
