The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates noted that the strike targeted a site known as "Al-Salam," indicating the official name of the base. As a result of the incident, two storage containers were damaged, and a fire broke out; however, there were no casualties among the military personnel.
Witnesses reported thick black smoke rising over the base area. Videos capturing the aftermath of the strike began to circulate widely on social media, although some of them were subsequently removed.
This attack occurred against the backdrop of increasing Iranian missile and drone strikes on countries in the region in response to actions by the U.S. and Israel on Iranian territory. Attacks on facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates had also been previously recorded.
