- Following the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the country is temporarily governed by a council that includes President Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the judiciary, and a representative of the Guardian Council. Additionally, the death of the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the secretary of the Defense Council has been confirmed.
- The U.S. Central Command reported the deaths of three of its servicemen on Sunday.
- A multinational military base near Erbil in Iraq, as well as a Bundeswehr field camp in eastern Jordan, came under fire from Tehran; it is reported that German soldiers were not the targets of the attacks, according to AFP.
- Donald Trump announced that 48 Iranian military personnel and officials were killed following strikes from the U.S. and Israel.
- Iran responded with attacks on American bases in Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Casualties have been reported in the UAE and Kuwait — three and one respectively. Additionally, Iran is also striking Israel; an Iranian missile hit a synagogue in Beit Shemesh, resulting in at least nine deaths.
- British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the United States would be able to use British bases for defensive actions.
- Foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain) held a remote meeting where they stated their right to retaliate against Iranian attacks.
- The Association of Tour Operators of Russia reported that hotels in Dubai and Sharjah are evicting tourists whose stay has expired, but leaving the country is complicated due to closed airports.
- The Iranian agency IRNA reported that three oil tankers from the U.S. and the UK were hit by missiles and caught fire, although official authorities in the U.S. and the UK have neither confirmed nor denied this information.
- Prices for Brent and Nymex crude oil rose by more than 10% at the opening of Asian markets on Monday.
- The Israeli armed forces began striking Hezbollah positions in Lebanon.
- In Austin, Texas, a man wearing a T-shirt with the Iranian flag opened fire in a bar, resulting in two deaths and 14 injuries, while the attacker was shot by police.

Situation in Ukraine and Russia
- As a result of a Russian airstrike on an agricultural enterprise in Sumy region, Ukraine, two women were killed, and one was injured.
- In Bryansk region, Russia, a local woman died from a strike by a Ukrainian drone.
- Dnipro also came under attack from Russian drones, with one person injured.
- On the night of March 1, Russian strike drones attacked Odessa, but no casualties were reported.
- In Novorossiysk, debris from a drone fell on the roof of a high-rise building, but no one was injured.
- Ukraine has imposed sanctions on ten Russian transport companies.
- The Belgian armed forces, with support from France, have captured a tanker belonging to the Russian "shadow fleet" for the first time.
