Abramovich refused to transfer funds from the sale of Chelsea to Ukraine

The British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had previously urged Abramovich to allocate all funds from the sale of the club by March 17, but the billionaire seems to be ignoring these demands.

Additionally, Abramovich has hired a team of lawyers to protect his interests in court, including Eric Herschmann, a former advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump. He intends to file a lawsuit for approximately £2.5 million.

Since the sale of Chelsea in 2022, the proceeds amounting to £2.35 billion, along with interest, have been frozen in the account of Abramovich's company Fordstam Ltd. In total, the courts in Jersey have frozen over £5.3 billion of the billionaire's assets.
