In Sri Lanka, a unique purple star sapphire weighing an impressive 3,563 carats has been presented. According to experts, its value exceeds 300 million dollars, reports the Associated Press.

This sapphire, named "Star of Pure Land," is the largest registered natural purple star sapphire in the world.

The polished stone is owned by the Star of Pure Land Team, whose members preferred to remain anonymous for safety reasons. One of the owners stated that the sapphire was found in 2023 near Ratnapura, located in the southwest of Sri Lanka.
