Since the beginning of March, there has been an increase in wholesale prices for automotive fuel in Russia.
According to the Wroom.ru website, an analysis conducted by the St. Petersburg Exchange showed that over a period of one and a half weeks from February 27 to March 11, gasoline prices increased by 6-7%, while the price of diesel fuel rose by 12%.
As of March 11, 2026, wholesale fuel prices are as follows (changes compared to February 27, 2026):
- gasoline AI-92 — 62,943 rubles (+6.2%)
- gasoline AI-95 — 66,876 rubles (+6.7%)
- seasonal diesel fuel — 61,526 rubles (+12.2%)
Experts link the rise in automotive fuel prices to the increase in global oil prices, which, in turn, is caused by military conflicts in the Middle East. It is expected that further increases in wholesale prices for gasoline and diesel will inevitably reflect on retail prices at gas stations.
Last year, in the second half of the year, some regions of Russia faced fuel supply disruptions; however, these issues were resolved over time.
