During the meeting, issues related to the preparation for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP17) were discussed. Both sides noted the importance of enhancing cooperation for the successful organization of the upcoming event.
The Deputy Executive Secretary also emphasized that the appointment of Batzetsgeg Batmunkh as the chair of the conference would be an important step towards the successful implementation of all planned activities.
The conference will take place in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, from August 17 to 28 under the slogan "Restore Nature, Revive Hope." This event serves as an important platform for international cooperation and high-level discussions aimed at addressing issues related to land degradation, desertification, and drought.
