On this day, President Serdar Berdymukhammedov actively participated in the event, planting trees in the southern part of Ashgabat. He was supported by the Chairman of the Mejlis, vice-premiers, as well as leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, and diplomats from international organizations.
During the event, Vice-Premier Tangryguly Atakhanlyev, responsible for the agro-industrial complex, reported on the planting of seedlings, while his colleague Baymyrat Annammamedov, overseeing Ashgabat, spoke about the improvement of the capital and maintaining cleanliness in its territory.
According to the state information agency TDH, within the framework of this campaign, 611,962 tree seedlings were planted, and work was carried out to care for 2 million 24 thousand 240 already planted trees.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, also participated in the tree planting in Arkadag, where musicians and dancers performed, after which they received gifts from the former president.
Berdymukhammedov Sr. planted his tree together with a boy who asked him for a blessing to start the campaign and recited a poem. This event demonstrated the continuation of mentorship traditions in the country, as noted in TDH reports.
