According to information from The Athletic, FIFA has announced that over 500 million ticket applications were received during the month-long application period for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In the near future, the International Football Federation will conduct a random draw for the distribution of tickets for all 104 matches of the tournament, the results of which will be announced in February.

It is worth noting that earlier, in October and November, FIFA had already sold about 2 million tickets, and currently around 4-5 million tickets remain available for sale.

The matches that attract the most interest among viewers include: Colombia vs. Portugal, Mexico vs. South Korea, the World Cup final, as well as the opening match between Mexico and South Africa and the Round of 16 in Toronto on July 2.

According to forecasts, ticket prices for the most popular matches may rise in February when fans learn the status of their applications, and those who do not receive tickets will be looking for resale options.

FIFA will begin notifying fans about the results of the draw starting from February 5 or later.

The tournament will kick off on June 11 in Mexico City and will take place in 16 cities across the USA, Canada, and Mexico, including 104 matches.
