Some iPhone users are encountering a situation where their alarm goes off but does not emit any sound. As reported by 3DNews, this may be due to an automatic reset of settings in the "Clock" app.

Although the exact cause of the malfunction is still unclear, experts suggest that it may be related to the use of classic ringtones from the old section. Users are strongly advised to check the settings of each active alarm in the "Clock" app and ensure that a sound is selected, rather than the "None" option. For added assurance, a test alarm can be set for the next few minutes.

Additionally, other device settings may also affect the alarm's functionality. For example, the alarm volume depends on the slider that controls ringtones and notifications, as well as the "Change with Buttons" setting—if it is enabled, users may accidentally lower the volume using the physical buttons.

Another possible reason could be the "Attention Awareness" feature, which is related to Face ID. If the sensors detect that the user is looking at the screen, the system automatically lowers the volume of notifications and alarms. To ensure maximum alarm volume, this feature can be disabled in the settings: "Face ID & Passcode" - "Attention Awareness."
