Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva pointed out that the republican budget for the specified year allocated 18 million 381 thousand soms to counter epidemiological threats. She inquired how these funds were utilized.
Sydygaliev explained that the unused funds would be directed to activities planned for 2026, including assistance from the president. He added that sensitive cameras are being installed at the borders and funds are being received into the budget. "Everything will be used," he assured.
In response, Deputy Sadyrbaeva expressed surprise: "How is this possible? You are talking about 50% of unused funds in the context of a difficult epidemiological situation, when children were lying in the corridors. Is this acceptable?"
Minister of Health Kanbek Dosmambetov confirmed that the situation was indeed severe, especially regarding the provision of medications. "Orders for medicines that were supposed to arrive in 2025 were only made at the end of the year. We plan to meet all needs in the first quarter of 2026," he explained.
Sadyrbaeva emphasized that leaving unused funds while people are suffering is extremely wrong: "Epidemics in the future can negatively affect the health of the population. And most importantly, you have excluded this item from the budget for 2026. Will we not have more epidemics? I request a written response regarding the reasons this item was removed," she added, noting that such underutilization of funds from the epidemiological fund is unacceptable.
