In turn, Deputy Mederbek Chotonov expressed the opinion that instead of significant investments in the capital repair of old hospitals, it would be more reasonable to build new medical institutions. He also inquired about the plans for the construction of hospitals in the Talas region.
In response, Minister Dosmambetov stated that there are currently no applications for the construction of a new hospital in the Talas region, either this year or in the near future. He added that a maternity hospital is currently under construction, and a decision on the construction of new facilities will be made after the inventory is completed.
Chotonov also proposed building a new hospital in the village of Bakay-Ata, where the existing building needs to be replaced, as well as in the village of Semetey.
Additionally, the deputy suggested carrying out capital repairs on hospitals in the villages of Kyzyl-Adyr and Kyzyl-Zhildyz, noting that these buildings were constructed during the Soviet era and are in poor condition.
According to Chotonov, some medical institutions do not have functioning elevators, lack necessary equipment, including vacuum systems in maternity wards and tomographs, which results in patients with strokes and heart attacks remaining without an accurate diagnosis for a long time. He also mentioned the shortage of refrigeration equipment in morgues.
