In 2025, as part of the state guarantees program, an examination and treatment of 36,299 children was conducted in the short-term (daytime) care units of republican hospitals, both on a planned and emergency basis. This was reported by the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund.

Among the patients, 64% are children under the age of 6, including 11% infants under one year old.

The use of the short-term care model significantly reduces the psychological stress impact on children and their families, lowers the likelihood of hospital-acquired infections, and allows for the rapid resolution of acute conditions with subsequent treatment recommendations. This system also contributes to the rational allocation of budgetary funds, keeping hospitals available for providing emergency care for severe illnesses, as stated in the report.
