At the meeting of the Committee on International Affairs of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 26, Deputy Zhyldyz Kurmanalieva expressed the need to create specialized schools and kindergartens for children suffering from autism and Down syndrome.

The deputy noted that the number of such children is increasing, and many of them cannot attend regular educational institutions.

Kurmanalieva suggested including the construction of specialized institutions in the plans, at least in regional centers, as there is currently a shortage of such kindergartens and schools, and access to private institutions is limited for many families.

She also expressed her willingness to submit her proposals in writing, emphasizing that this issue affects many families.

Kurmanalieva drew attention to the need for collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, as qualified specialists are required to work with children who have such disorders.
