The second B5+1 Forum kicks off in Bishkek, becoming the largest regional event. The organizers, the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) in partnership with the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, continue the tradition of the historic C5+1 leaders' summit, providing a platform for interaction between businesses in Central Asia and the United States.
The focus of the current forum is on transitioning from short-term initiatives to more strategic long-term solutions. Support from the U.S. Department of State, effective until 2029, gives B5+1 a sustainable character, allowing the private sector not only to discuss pressing issues but also to set the direction for reforms. Over the course of two days, participants will discuss the progress made since the first meeting in Almaty and propose roadmaps on key aspects, including critical minerals, IT, transportation, logistics, and agriculture.
One of the key features of the forum in Bishkek will be the opportunity for direct dialogue: leaders of the region's working groups will offer specific recommendations for improving the business climate, while representatives of government structures will voice their official positions and commitments to their implementation. The meeting will conclude with the signing of a Communiqué, which will record the updated action plan for attracting investments and integrating the economies of Central Asia into global markets. Thus, the B5+1 Forum will be firmly established as the foundation for creating a unified and prosperous economic space in the region.
