As a result of the work of the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), it became known that in Talas, water intakes classified as strategically important objects of category B have been returned to state ownership.

According to the agency, illegal privatization occurred in 2003 when S. T. D., the head of the public association "Toboy," in collusion with officials from the Talas branch of the State Cadastre and the State Talas Water Management Authority, used his official position to transfer life-support facilities out of state ownership.

According to information provided by the GKNB, as a result of official forgery, strategically important water intakes were illegally transferred to the balance of the public association, which then ended up in private ownership. Among the transferred properties were land plots of 1.7 hectares, 0.68 hectares, and 1 hectare with the corresponding infrastructure. The total value of these properties amounted to 36,415,400 soms.

Now, these vital facilities once again belong to the state.
