In 2025, the number of installed QR codes in trade and service enterprises amounted to 114.1 thousand, which is 95.3% more compared to the previous year.
The main operator registered 525.1 million transactions totaling 908.6 billion soms for the year. This means that the number of operations increased 8 times, and the transaction volume increased 10 times compared to 2024.
Kyrgyzstan continues to be the only country in Central Asia where inter-system integration of various payment systems is carried out based on the national standard for QR codes. The ELQR system involves 20 commercial banks and 14 payment organizations.
The National Bank noted that the measures implemented in 2025 were a significant step towards creating a modern cashless infrastructure and laid the foundation for the further development of the fast payment system. Work in this direction will continue.
