On February 11, the Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, Mirbek Duyyshev, spoke about the role of agriculture as a social sphere that receives support from the state. According to him, almost every country in the world subsidizes agriculture, which includes the provision of preferential loans, tax benefits, and other preferences. Even in highly developed countries in Europe, problems in this sector are observed, which are due to its dependence on natural conditions.

In addition, Duyyshev discussed the current situation with bank loans for farmers. He noted that in two years of work in this area, there has been no practice of loan write-offs. Over the past four to five years, an analysis of bank loans in agriculture has been conducted, and the results showed that the repayment rate has significantly increased. Previously, only 30-40% of loans were repaid, while 50-60% remained unpaid; now, more than 90% of issued loans are successfully repaid.
