- Nursultan Ashymbekov, head of the international cooperation sector in the field of industry at the Department of Industry of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, shared this opinion on the radio.

He noted that, despite the fact that tax rates in the EAEU countries generally exceed those in Kyrgyzstan, this does not negatively impact the implementation of joint projects.

“There are no serious conflicts, as subsidies are provided to banks, which then distribute the funds. If a project is implemented in Russia, it is subject to Russian legislation, and if in Kyrgyzstan — to Kyrgyz legislation. Each party adheres to its own tax norms, which does not create barriers,” Ashymbekov explained.

He also reminded that Kyrgyzstan actively participates in industrial cooperation in the field of computer technology together with Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. Additionally, a project for the assembly of elevators is being implemented in collaboration with a Belarusian enterprise.

Ashymbekov also added that the Belarusian side is considering the possibility of launching a project for the production of transformers on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, the existing transformer plant in the country operates within the existing industrial infrastructure, but is not yet included in the EAEU industrial cooperation program.
