In 2025, 320 licenses in the field of subsoil use were revoked in Kyrgyzstan due to various violations. This was reported by the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision at a meeting of his department.

The ministry noted that significant reforms have been carried out in the field of subsoil use over the past five years, and state control has been strengthened. In 2024-2025, eight major projects were put into operation, and in 2025, state enterprises received 105 new licenses. Currently, there are 2014 active licenses.

Additionally, over the past five years, revenues from the sector to the budget amounted to more than 217.9 billion soms, which is 3.5 times higher than previous figures. In 2025, a record revenue of 65.4 billion soms was recorded.

Throughout the year, 40 auctions for obtaining licenses were held, bringing in over 105 million soms to the budget.

In 2025, 5749 cases of environmental violations were identified, resulting in compensation for damages amounting to 143.2 million soms. A state enterprise "Ekooperator" was also established, which received 74 million soms in the form of recycling fees.
