In the first stage of control, the following categories of cargo are included:
- goods subject to sanctions (including all types of transit, export, and mutual trade);
- alcohol and tobacco;
- light industry products and radio electronics.
The use of navigation seals becomes mandatory for cargo whose routes pass through several EEU states, regardless of the starting and ending points of transportation (within the Union or beyond its borders).
Representatives of the EEU emphasize that the implementation of navigation seals is aimed at speeding up and simplifying processes: vehicles equipped with seals will be able to cross internal borders without inspections and delays, significantly reducing downtime. Additionally, the creation of a unified information space will allow for real-time tracking of cargo movements and reduce the number of administrative procedures and checks.
Control over transportation within the EEU is carried out by national operators, and in Kyrgyzstan, this function is performed by the State Customs Infrastructure JSC.
