Sheref stated that in 2021 he signed an agreement with U. A. to transfer about $500,000 in several stages for the implementation of a residential complex in Osh. However, the project was suspended due to legal issues concerning the land plot.
The investor's lawyer, Adilet Merkanov, noted that as compensation for the investments, U. A. agreed to transfer a kindergarten. However, it later turned out that this building does not belong to the former deputy. As a result, the parties reached an agreement on compensation in the form of five apartments in Osh and one in Bishkek, which U. A. was supposed to transfer by 2024. Currently, these obligations remain unfulfilled.
“We have already filed a complaint with the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs, and the case is currently under investigation,” Merkanov clarified.
Sheref Duman added that the situation is not progressing and once again appealed to President Sadyr Japarov for intervention.
“I urge Sadyr Nurgojoyevich to pay attention to my situation. My partners in Turkey are ready to invest another $1.5 million in Kyrgyzstan, but we are awaiting a resolution to the current issue,” the investor concluded.
