Want to forget about stress? Take a cue from the merchants at the fair in Bishkek

Every week, the capital's agro-market buzzes with life at the Turdakun Usubaliev Square, and on weekdays, its participants exchange their trading stalls for a path of kindness. Farmers and entrepreneurs regularly bring fresh products to the "Kolomto" shelter and other social institutions in the city. These visits have long ceased to be just deliveries of goods; they have become a true good tradition that is awaited with smiles. "We ourselves are becoming kinder," they share, looking at the joy in the eyes of those they help.

This noble act coincided with the Day of Spontaneous Acts of Kindness, as well as the anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan, which begins on February 19. Psychologists, speaking with VB.KG, note that when we share with others, the feeling of happiness within us significantly increases. It doesn't matter whether you have extra money or if you simply treated a passerby to your last candy.

Scientific studies confirm that kind acts indeed strengthen our immune system. Research shows that altruism reduces stress levels and can even suppress inflammatory processes in the body. Scientists from China have found that helping others helps reduce physical pain, while researchers from Tel Aviv University made an interesting discovery: kind people are perceived by others as more beautiful and attractive.

Moreover, kindness serves as excellent training for the heart. Positive emotions contribute to normalizing blood pressure and protect the heart muscle, while anger and rage can destroy it. Thus, farmers from Bishkek, sharing their harvest with those facing difficulties, not only perform a kind gesture but also grant themselves an important benefit. They reaffirm that in our challenging times, humanity and a sincere smile are true values.
