The Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, during the "Agrodialog" forum held on February 18, urged farmers to first develop projects and consult with specialists before installing drip irrigation systems.

He noted that without preliminary design, such installations could lead to inefficient distribution of water resources.
“Self-installation of drip irrigation systems without proper design is not recommended. The landscape of the plots can be complex—with elevation changes and various terrains, which must be taken into account,” he emphasized.

Torobaev also added that the absence of a project could cause problems with water pressure, which, in turn, would lead to some areas of soil not receiving sufficient moisture. The minister stressed the importance of consulting professionals for project development when installing drip irrigation systems. He mentioned that there are already specialists in each region with experience in this field. Farmers can seek consultations and assistance from them in implementing drip irrigation technologies.
