In Kyrgyzstan, the export of catalysts and precious metal waste has been banned for six months

The government of Kyrgyzstan has decided to impose a six-month ban on the export of used catalysts and waste containing precious metals. This step is aimed at preventing the illegal export of valuable materials and preserving strategic resources within the country.

According to the new decree, the export of the following categories will be prohibited for six months:


The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are required to notify the World Trade Organization, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the Executive Committee of the CIS about the introduction of this ban within three days.

Previously, on September 8, 2025, a similar decree was adopted, which is now considered to be invalid.

The ban will come into effect one week after publication.
