Kyrgyzstan Temporarily Bans the Export of Waste Paper and Paper Waste

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has issued a decree introducing a temporary ban on the export of regenerative paper and cardboard, also known as waste paper and waste. The ban will be based on the EAEU Customs Code TN VED 4707 and will come into effect 15 days after its signing.

According to this decree, the duration of the ban will be six months from the moment the document comes into force. Exceptions will be made for transit cargo and humanitarian supplies, which will be carried out at the direction of the government.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has been tasked with notifying the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission about the introduced temporary ban. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also required to inform the Executive Committee of the CIS in the established manner.

The Customs and Border Services are obliged to take necessary steps to prevent the illegal export of waste paper and paper waste.
