The government of Kyrgyzstan has approved a new temporary procedure that regulates the conduct of electronic auctions for obtaining subsoil use rights. This step was taken as part of the implementation of the president's decree concerning the reform of the mining industry and is intended to minimize corruption risks in the distribution of deposits.

Licenses for the extraction of mineral resources will now be issued exclusively in digital format, through an electronic system. The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision plans to launch a pilot project in the near future and will monitor its activities until September 30, 2026.

Upon completion of the trial period, the ministry will prepare and submit a draft permanent regulatory act to the president's administration, which will enshrine the use of electronic auctions in the country's legislation.

This resolution will come into effect 15 days after its official publication.
