In the current year, the level of readiness of agricultural machinery in Kyrgyzstan is 82%, which is 2% higher than last year.
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture, there are over 92 thousand units of agricultural machinery registered in the republic, including 22,428 tractors and 1,960 combine harvesters, as well as other types of equipment. In the regions, preparations for spring field work for 2026 are actively underway — technical maintenance and repair of machines are being carried out.
Currently, 17,959 tractors (80%), 82% of plows, 78% of seeders, 82% of harrows, and 86% of fertilizer spreaders have been prepared. The use of more than 8 thousand tillage units and over 3 thousand seeding machines is expected. However, the average level of equipment provision for agricultural producers is about 71%, indicating a deficit of 29%.
In recent years, the government has been implementing measures to renew the machinery and tractor fleet through leasing programs. Since 2011, with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers, equipment has been provided on favorable terms (6% per annum for up to 7 years) through OJSC "Aiyl Bank" and OJSC "Eldik Bank". To date, 10,511 units of equipment have been transferred to agricultural producers for a total of 29 billion soms. In 2026, equipment worth 584 million soms (854 units) has already been transferred, and by the end of the year, the transfer of over 2 thousand units worth 7 billion soms is planned.
There are 186 machine-tractor stations (MTS) operating in the regions, of which 2 are state-owned, 63 are municipal, and 121 are private. They have over 4 thousand units of agricultural machinery at their disposal.
According to the results of the inventory, the number of agricultural machinery in the country is increasing annually. This is related to the successful implementation of leasing projects and direct purchases by farmers. According to customs and tax authorities, over 8 thousand units of agricultural machinery of various models were imported into Kyrgyzstan in the past year.
