A factory is planned to be established in the Chuy region for the production of irrigation equipment. This project will be implemented with the support of investors from Turkey, as reported by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In particular, the Trade Representation of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey is actively negotiating with the investor for the construction of the factory, which will be located in the Moscow district of the Chuy region. The production facilities will occupy a plot of land of 10 hectares in the Ak-Suu rural area.
The investor of the project is the Turkish company AKPLAS PLASTIK SANAYI VE TICARET A.Ş., known for its modern solutions for agriculture. Their portfolio includes drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, polymer pipes (HDPE/PE, PVC), connecting elements, and equipment for water filtration and separation.
The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan is responsible for preparing and supporting the agreement.
The implementation of this project will not only establish the production of equipment for water-saving irrigation systems but also enhance the efficiency of water resource use, reduce irrigation water losses, and introduce modern technologies into the agricultural sector of the country," the press service emphasizes.
Moreover, the launch of the new factory will create additional jobs, contribute to the development of related services, including logistics, installation, and maintenance, as well as form a production base with export potential.
