- Compliance with established veterinary requirements is a necessary condition for the import of animal products into Kyrgyzstan. If the products do not meet these requirements, they will be returned to the sender.

Rayymbek also noted that although the Ministry does not directly regulate meat prices, district and regional veterinary services monitor prices in the regions.

Continuing the conversation about imports, he mentioned that meat products are both imported and exported from the country. Types of meat imported into Kyrgyzstan include beef, lamb, and poultry.

Supplier countries are divided into members of the Eurasian Economic Union and third countries, with a significant portion of live cattle and meat supplies coming from third countries.

“When crossing the state border, all products and animals undergo mandatory veterinary control. Inspectors at the checkpoints work around the clock, checking the compliance of imported goods and animals with veterinary requirements,” added Avazbek uulu Rayymbek.
