According to the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise, following the directive from the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, the branch of JSC "NES Kyrgyzstan" has started repairing and restoring electrical equipment to prepare it for the autumn-winter period of 2026-2027.
This year, large-scale activities are planned in the Batken region aimed at improving the condition of electrical networks and ensuring stable electricity supply for the population.
Regarding the transformers 6-10/0.4 kV:
• 284 devices will undergo major repairs;
• 1632 transformers are scheduled for maintenance.
For the overhead lines 6-10/0.4 kV:
• 1538 km of lines will be subjected to major repairs;
• 3847 km of overhead lines will undergo maintenance.
As for the high-voltage overhead lines 220/110/35 kV:
• 1400 km of lines will be inspected, of which:
— 20 km will be majorly repaired;
— 1380 km will undergo scheduled repairs;
• Additionally, 8772 new glass insulators will be installed.
Regarding the substations 220/110/35 kV:
• 45 substations are expected to undergo current repairs;
• 5 of them will be majorly repaired.
As part of the automation of the electricity transmission system, it is planned to install 54,587 units of intelligent metering devices (AMI) in the Batken region in 2026. Furthermore, 32 km of self-supporting insulated wires SIP-2 and SIP-3 will be laid in several settlements.
The goal of these works is to enhance the reliability of electrical networks, reduce technical losses, and provide consumers with quality and uninterrupted electricity supply. These activities will help ensure stability during the autumn-winter period of 2026-2027 and improve the technical condition of the electrical networks in the region.
