- In March, the U.S. Department of Agriculture presented a forecast indicating that Kazakhstan's wheat exports for the 25/26 season will amount to 10.5 million tons.

This estimate is 8.2% higher than the expectations voiced in February and 5.1% more than the previous season.

The reason for the revision of the forecast was significant export volumes in the region, as well as somewhat improved yield indicators.

In the methodology of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, exports and yields are accounted for based on the marketing year, which differs from the calendar year. This period is characterized by the time when the harvest is sold.

The marketing year for different agricultural exporting countries is calculated individually.

In the case of Kazakhstan's wheat, the marketing year covers the period from September of the current year to August of the following year.
