Infographic — Over the past 14 months, the average price of a liter of pasteurized milk has increased by almost 13%

- Over the past 14 months, the price of a liter of pasteurized milk has increased by almost 13%: from 100.11 to 113.01 soms. This data was obtained from reports by the National Statistical Committee.

According to the agency, in January 2025, a liter of draft unpasteurized milk cost 64.55 soms. By February 2026, the price had risen to 71.48 soms, which is an increase of 10.7%.

Prices for draft milk are subject to pronounced seasonal fluctuations. The lowest values are observed in the summer months: in August 2025, a liter cost 58.32 soms. With the onset of autumn, prices begin to rise. Only in the period from August to December 2025 did draft milk increase in price by 20%, reaching 70 soms per liter.

According to data from the Eurasian Economic Commission, the price of a liter of pasteurized milk in Kyrgyzstan is $1.15, which is higher than in Kazakhstan ($0.80) and Russia ($1.00). At the same time, the availability of this product for consumers with an average income in Kyrgyzstan is 2–3 times lower than in neighboring countries.
