Kazakhstan is considering the possibility of introducing a three-month ban on the export of fresh carrots, as revealed by a draft order published on December 24.

This step is justified by the need to ensure food security within the country.

As for Kyrgyzstan, the majority of imported carrots come from Uzbekistan. According to the National Statistical Committee, in the first ten months of 2025, China was the second-largest supplier, while Kazakhstan ranked third on this list.
