- According to information provided at a briefing by the director of the research department of the International Monetary Fund, Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas, global economic growth in 2026 is expected to be 3.3%, which exceeds previous forecasts by 0.2 percentage points.

Gourinchas noted that despite ongoing trade tensions, the global economy is demonstrating resilience due to the high adaptability of the private sector, favorable financial conditions, and active investments in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as new stimulus measures being implemented in several countries.

According to IMF forecasts, the inflation rate is expected to slow down from 4.1% in 2025 to 3.8% in 2026 and to 3.4% in 2027.

However, Gourinchas emphasized the presence of risks, among which a significant issue remains the limitation of economic growth concentrated in a few sectors, primarily in information technology and artificial intelligence.
