According to him, investors are confronted with the need to resolve issues related to the allocation and change of land use designations.
“Investors have been trying to sort these issues out for many years. Are you really working on simplifying these processes now, including the mechanisms for purchasing electricity?” he inquired.
Mamataliev emphasized that without the assistance of government bodies, investors are forced to seek alternative solutions to their problems, which slows down the process.
“Why not provide them support from the very beginning, so they don’t have to seek it from outsiders?” the deputy asked.
In response to this statement, Deputy Minister of Energy Altynbek Rysbekov replied that the draft law “On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Renewable Energy Sources” is aimed at simplifying a number of procedures.
The draft law is currently at the stage of the first reading.
