He noted that there is a perception in society that foreign participation in real estate transactions can lead to price increases. However, analysis results show that the share of such transactions accounts for less than 1 percent of the total number of transactions in the market.
Kebekov also emphasized that foreigners do not have the opportunity to acquire land plots in the country. However, they can buy apartments and houses.
“In most cases, the buyers are citizens of Russia — essentially, former compatriots who have changed their citizenship. We have heard about potential transactions with citizens of China, but their number remains extremely small,” he added.
