- According to the analysis presented in the EFCR report (December 2025), the share of imports in the country's GDP will gradually decrease during the period from 2026 to 2028.

In 2024, this figure will be 86.4% of the total GDP, and by the end of 2025, it is expected to drop to 71.3%.

Analysts predict that by 2026, the share of imports will fall to 70.3% of GDP, in 2027 to 66.5%, and by 2028 it will reach 63.6% of GDP.

“The trend of reducing the current account deficit will continue. This will be associated with a decrease in the volume of imported machinery products while export and remittance figures remain stable,” the report notes.
