The Ministry of Agriculture is conducting an inventory of wells across the country

- Deputy Chyngyz Ajibaev held a meeting with Abdybay Jaiylobaev, the Deputy Director of the Water Resources Service under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. The press service of the Jogorku Kenesh reports that the meeting discussed pressing issues related to the state of the country's water resources, as well as the prospects for the development of the irrigation sector and the implementation of both short-term and long-term projects.

During the conversation, Ajibaev emphasized the existing problems related to water supply in the regions, especially in the context of developing irrigation networks. He highlighted the need to restore water supply systems in the villages of Baul and Kok-Tash in the Leilek district to meet the needs of local farmers.

Additionally, the deputy raised the issue of the necessity for monitoring groundwater levels, accounting for existing wells, and making forecasts considering climate changes.

Deputy Director Jaiylobaev, for his part, reported that an inventory of wells is currently being conducted, the results of which will allow for the creation of the necessary database.

He also noted that the Institute of Water Problems and Hydropower of the National Academy of Sciences has been tasked with researching water basins across the country and preparing a scientifically grounded forecast for the next 50 years.
