Eldor Tulyakov, the Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center, spoke about the need to revise the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy. He noted that the rapid development of global processes and technological changes require the updating of the country's main strategic document. The new approach implies that "government bodies must serve the people," which will be implemented through specific mechanisms that make reforms more targeted and tangible for each family.

This document is fundamental for determining the medium- and long-term directions of Uzbekistan's development, reflecting the overall logic of reforms, priority goals, and practical ways to create a New Uzbekistan.

In recent years, significant achievements have been made in the country in the areas of socio-economic development, justice, and strengthening civil society. In this context, the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy has played an important role in systematizing processes. However, given the constant changes in public life and the global economy, new challenges arise for state policy.

Thus, the relevance of updating the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy becomes evident, and it is necessary to take into account the real needs of citizens and the challenges of the times.

The main idea of the updated strategy is articulated by the head of state: "Government bodies must serve the people." The new version of the strategy aims to fill this principle with specific content, allowing for the continued development of the country based on a more effective and accountable system.

As part of the strategy update, a detailed analysis of the achieved results and existing problems is being conducted. Effectiveness indicators are also being reviewed to accurately assess the fulfillment of set tasks. Each task will have responsible government bodies, and funding sources will be presented in an open format, which will increase accountability in the implementation of the strategy.

It is important that the updated strategy is accessible and meaningful for every citizen. It is being formulated so that everyone can see what specific benefits it brings to their lives, families, and the future of their children. The focus is not on general slogans but on real changes that are felt in everyday life.

The indicators of medium-term goals will be revised considering new challenges in the economic, social, and technological spheres. Full digitalization of monitoring the implementation of the strategy is also planned, which will ensure transparency and more informed decisions based on reliable data to enhance public oversight.

Coordinating all strategies for the development of sectors and regions with "Uzbekistan – 2030" is an important step towards ensuring coherence and effectiveness in state policy.

A key element of the process is engaging the public in discussing the strategy. The draft will be put to public discussion in accordance with the directive of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, announced during the recent Address to the Parliament, to gather substantive proposals from citizens, experts, and civil society organizations. A document that reflects the opinions and requests of the people will become truly viable and effective.

Thus, the process of updating the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy represents a consistent and open approach aimed at deepening reforms, adapting them to modern requirements, and enhancing their practical significance for people. The main goal is for the strategy to become a nationwide program serving the well-being of the people," the expert concluded.
