The goal of the "Universal Access to Water Supply and Sanitation (Phase 1)" program is to improve access to safe drinking water and sanitation for residents of 126 rural settlements in the Osh, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions, which will provide clean water to over 425,000 people.
The ratification of this agreement will open up opportunities for funding from the OPEC Fund for International Development, enabling the implementation of projects for the construction and reconstruction of water supply systems, water purification, sewage, and sanitation facilities in the most vulnerable rural areas of the three mentioned regions.
