The goal of the program is to provide safe drinking water and sanitation to 126 rural settlements in the Osh, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions, which will improve the living conditions of over 425,000 people.

The bill was approved in the first reading and is now awaiting further consideration. Its ratification will open up the possibility of attracting funds from the OPEC Fund for International Development, which is an important step in implementing the first phase of the program and in the framework of global efforts to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the field of water supply and sanitation.
